On a fine day sit outside with your coffee overlooking the water

Sabhal Mor College

The name of the college where the course will be held simply means 'The Old Barn at Ostaig'. It is a glorious venue, with extremely good accommodation in single or twin rooms, which are all en suite and have daily maid service. It is a quite unique place, being, in term time the only Gaelic University in the world. It's prime location on the sheltered coast of South Skye, is perfect for relaxation as well as focused work, indeed the halls of residence overlook the water, with a vista of sea, mountains and wildlife.

We have been booked into the lighthouse tower, on the 3rd and 4th floors.  As you can imagine these rooms have truly wonderful views, but all importantly there is a lift to each floor.

The refectory is modern and airy, and the french windows open out onto the patio where one can sit and have a coffee after lunch, or at tea time.

So much to do, so little time.

Quite apart from the joys of singing, South Skye is a walkers' paradise, a sailors' delight, and a dreamers' idea of heaven on earth......
